Healthcare Navigators - The new way to be seen:

From October 2018, you may notice a change when you ask for an appointment. You may now speak to a 'Healthcare Navigator' who is trained to offer you an appointment with the most appropriate person depending on your need and urgency.

They may ask you a couple of questions in order to navigate you to the person best suited to help you. The Healthcare Navigator is not being nosey, nor will they make any clinical decisions, they have been trained to help you get the most appropriate care, from the most appropriate person.
Healthcare Navigators, like all members of the team, are bound by the same confidentiality rules.

Appointmentscalendar

All consultations are by appointment and these can be booked by telephone or at the reception desk. Emergencies are seen at the next available surgery.GP appointments are available two weeks in advance.

Telephone Consultations

You can book to have a telephone consultation with a doctor and he or she will telephone you at an agreed time on the number you have provided. If you would like to book a telephone consultation please let the receptionist know.

Practice Nurses

In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many ailments and you may be seen more quickly. You can book up to four weeks in advance to see one our nurses.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
